Origin Story & Hospital Summary:

Despite being a popular tourism hub due to Lago de Yojoa, the area faces some of the highest poverty rates in Central America, with limited access to affordable medical care.Hospital Yojoa will be a 140-bed full-service Christian mission teaching hospital. The facility is designed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to a population underserved by the existing public and private healthcare systems. The hospital will offer urgent care, chronic disease management, and specialty services in surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, urology, and more. The goal is to alleviate the overwhelming patient load on public hospitals, which are often overcrowded and under-resourced.
