Restoration Gateway
Hospital
Uganda, Africa
Origin Story & Hospital Summary:
Restoration Gateway Hospital (RGH) was birthed in 2004 when seven Ugandan men began praying under a tree on the land now held by the project. Their prayers were answered when Dr. Tim and Janice McCall were called to move to Uganda in early 2005. The first trip by the McCalls took place in May 2005, and the land for the project was selected. Over the next 18 months, legal title to the land was obtained, and both a Ugandan Nongovernmental Organization (NGO) and a U.S. nonprofit were established. The McCalls received additional missionary training and prepared to launch the new ministry. Restoration Gateway exists to join Christ in restoring peace and healing wounds among the vulnerable children and war-torn people of Northern Uganda, Today, Restoration Gateway Hospital is a 180-bed facility offering a wide range of medical services.
